  1. Personally i would use https://tutsplus.com/ for your learning curve as the designers/developers do make it easy to follow for all comers. Starting out at 29 is late but with web design, if you have the creative flair age does not matter. Hope this helps
  2. I personally store code as html for < > {< >} etc and then change them back when called back from the database if inserting from a form just to be safe. The text field is needed instead of varcher if the code is longer than the 255 max, or if you are unsure of the size of the code snippet. Hope this helps
  3. You can do this using the infinite scroll jquery plugin. http://www.infinite-scroll.com/ Hope this helps
  4. Hi, thanks... great to be here
  5. Hi guys i am new to the whole charging for websites because of always being the developer and not the sales. I have recently setup accounts on job websites incluing monster, job centre plus and other main sites which has cost me a kidney lol... Anyway how do i structure a price for a website? I have over 10 years experience within web design and development but none in sales. I have an office/shop front and will have a sales person on my payroll as soon as i accept the unlucky candidate lol... Anyway what do i charge. I have read most forum posts on here saying your hourly rate but none saying how much if you have over heads, employees etc. How much is to much. For instance if i divide say 20K for sales, 30K for me - 20K for rent and rates and divide that into time it works out as a small html site starting from £500, small cms starting from £800, wordpress starting from £1000, ecommerce starting from £1800 Is this to much? The prices are only starting from which means they could go through the roof for more complex sites I only ask because of targets for the sales person, because i dont want to tell him to sell a website that he cant sell because the price is out of this world. I didnt ask for this from last employers as i thought it was taking the monkey considering i was leaving to become competitors lol... Anyway thanks for reading and hopefully shedding some light on this for me. Cheers
