My logo is boring.. what should i do
Why don't you get a logo designed that looks like it's been done in metal? Something that you know would be possible to apply to metal. Just a thought, could save yourself all the hassle of wishing you had at a later date.

Can anyone recommend a good web host?
Looks like he was just looking for an excuse to dish out some nasty machismo. Not good.

My logo is boring.. what should i do
Hi mtborrie, It's an important point you make there. If it's going to be featured in steel parts, it needs to be simple. I personally don't mind the banner you have, yes it's a bit boring and perhaps 'obvious' but on the plus side, it's clear and uncluttered and it does convey the idea of Nordic, without being too overly specific. You have to put yourself in the shoes of someone who is surfing for the kind of parts you sell. The banner/logo is only the first 'grab'. You'll need the specific car logos up there too so that they can see them immediately and you'll get them interested. You don't need to win any design awards on this job but you need to be obvious about what's on offer, otherwise they'll click off and go someplace else. It's as much about marketing, as it is design.

Can anyone recommend a good web host?
I was more looking for a UK based host with good customer support and Godaddy doesn't seem to have many fans here

Can anyone recommend a good web host?
Cheers Jamie, It may be down to the fact that I don't really know what I'm asking. I currently have a basic £30 pa package with a host, which was 'given' to be by a bloke who didn't need it any more (long story) So I didn't set it up myself. When I go into my cPanel / add on domain, I can add as many new ones as I want. Since I'm still learning, I generate free .tk addresses, as there's nothing I'm fussed about keeping long term. I have a Joomla, ZenCart and a few Deamweaver created sites (total 729MB of 3Gig) in there, each with a different domain name. Are these, some kind of alias/sub domains which don't count as separate sites? I don't plan on selling hosting to anyone, rather I plan to create a clutch of sites, selling different stuff, each with a different (optimal) name. I also have a friend who is planning something similar and asking me about it. Much obliged.

Can anyone recommend a good web host?
Thanks guys. Regarding tsohost, they only allow 4 sites in the standard package. What if I need lots of small sites? They wouldn't exceed the alloted 2.5GB disc space. What happens then? Is such a limit standard on hosts? + has anyone heard whether fast2host.com are okay? Cheers

How do I link (or insert) a page to a PayPal account?
Had a chat with him and it looks like the final site will be quite complicated and will need to handle lots of transactions. I'm thinking perhaps something like Joomla or Zen Cart may be more useful for him, rather than Paypal button inserts, especially as he wants to be able to update it by himself (and I'll be glad to let him). Any opinions/experience of these two CMS systems? I know people who use both and seem very happy with them.

How do I link (or insert) a page to a PayPal account?
I may need to include a PayPal button / functionality in a site I am shortly to do. What is the best way to do this? The client has his own PayPal account but just needs it to be featured on the site, so visitors can pay for stuff. Any pointers would be good, as I've never dealt with this. Cheers

Help with a navbar on nasty design
Thanks kree8or. I've got as close as can get with: width: 19.7%; padding: .5px; There's no wrap under at any size, which is nice, but there's still a few niggling pixels left spare on the far right of the bar... As I'm a perfectionist, I'd prefer not to have them there. It does seem as if there needs to be some spare pixels in order for it not to wrap at lower magnifications. Will tampering with the navbar box itself help? http://www.basicandnasty.tk/ Cheers

What do you think about design or this website?
Seems quite straightforward and functional. I was glad I quickly found how to turn the music off (taste I guess). I couldn't figure out if it was a girl's-only site, as it says "Pakistani Girls Chat Room" but then "People of every age and size are allowed over here and welcome to join our active community" and then " This is one of the best places for Girls chatting. Boys like to find Girls and they love to make friendship with Girls in Chat Room." So I guess it's a kind of dating site, without wishing to be too explicit??? It already looks quite busy and judging by the number of 'hahaha and Hehehes' great fun. But since I'm neither Pakistani nor a girl (now there's a thought), I can't join in. Good luck with it.

Help with a navbar on nasty design
Thanks for the code kree8or. I've put it in place but for some reason the last box now drops below the navbar at all magnifications. To try and resolve it I made the a hover/visited etc 20% instead of 153px, as you mentioned. I also removed the margin and padding (1px each) to see if that would help but it didn't. Perhaps I've missed something? http://www.basicandnasty.tk/ Thanks

Help with a navbar on nasty design
Sounds promising Renaissance-Design. The navbar elements currently sit in a panel which is 800px wide and 20px deep. Their specified size is (each) 153px wide 16px deep. How could I translate that to percentages and keep it looking the same? I've also got a fixed layout, header & footer. Re + 1 - the only Robin IMHO, especially with Clannad providing the backing track.

Help with a navbar on nasty design
Hi kree8or, Thanks for the code. I popped into place in the CSS file but I may have missed something as it seems to have made no difference??? Still got spare pixels at the end and wrap round when I zoom out... http://www.basicandnasty.tk/ cheers
