home page - needs a good 150 pixels taking off the top margin.

1. on a 19" widescreen monitor - i get a scroll bar because theres too much margin. 2. telephone number and such would be nice. 3. spam protection on that form would be handy? 4. because its quite a simplistic design - why not rotate some of the big images to fade in/out?

lol and yes... its the coca-cola styley font... seemed an unusual choice at the time!

Well the website was build near on 4/5 years ago to act as a CV (self promotion). Since then, its hardly been touched, i just update my CV. At the time, it was built in somewhat of a rush - as I was working full time as a techy and not what I graduated as! I totally agree with everything said so far. Its interesting getting this feedback - it reinforces my views really. "Is your emphasis on graphic design or on web implementation?" Well, my employment is that of a developer (PHP/MySQL) but I also design and do XHTML/CSS - everything through to SEO really. The current site is optimised for "staffordshire web design", and rocks on MSN and 10th/14thishy on Google. The new site will be a "web designer/developer blog" with general news and info from where I work along with ways to contact me for a chat in my office - referring all work to the company I work for.

In my opinion, the best solution is to use a blocked words list which can be quickly updated - just deal with the rest. All other solutions seem to hinder people filling in the forms - even if its just 1% of people lost, that can equate to a big chunk of turnover for some businesses.

Yeah, i feel the same way - my design skills have improved considerably over the last 4 years so the new version will be somewhat different.

my opinion: The flash movie at the start was somewhat odd, it would have been better if the text at the top of the flash was not present when the transition from one cutting board to the next is there... i kept expecting that text to change but it never did. The actual home page of the site isnt too bad - probably needs the navigation re-working - fitting text into circles is generally bad practise. I'd definately re-work the logo.

Nice! i'd perhaps before slightly smaller icons (some are a bit "in your face" at the moment). Also, sort by competition would be good (so i could group the premiership matches together). A nice "bet on this" icon would be cool too... also would increase your revenue streams.
