not sure what the problem your having with it is but you need to open your formmail.pl file and change some variables to get it to work (just opening as a text file makes it looks messy and hard to read so if you dont already have a program installed to parse it then psppad is pretty good and free http://www.pspad.com/) the variables to be changed are line 33 - $mailprog = '/usr/lib/sendmail -i -t'; you need to change that to the mailing program on your server , you should be able to find it in your admin pages or the admin help line 39 - ('scriptarchive.com','209.196.21.3'); change it to your domain name and the website IP line 45 - @recipients = &fill_recipients(@referers); change this to the email you want it to be sent to , e.g. if your email was myemail@gmail.com set it to @recipients = ('^myemail\@gmail\.com'); hope that helps

Not sure if this is possible but maybe the files were saved in a weird format or something. Try copying your code and pasting it into a new txt file and checking the save options and then save and upload the new version?

hey all i'm trying to write a part of a form that has a checkbox and a text field for each option. I want it to store the values in an array ([checkbox] => textfield) only if the checkbox was selected but I have no idea to get this to work. hmm... i think i need something different then , i have a form that has prefilled values from a database, changing those values changes the database when you fill in the form and submit it the values in the database changes but the values on the form doesn't until you reload the page again (or submit but then it add the old values again because the page hasn't been reloaded) and i thought refresh and reload were different since the refresh button guves me the post data thing is it possible to have a form submit to it's self and then load another page? could make like a "please wait" page that refers back to the form

hey i have another problem now >< i'm wanting my php page to reload when the user submits the form (action ="$PHP_SELF") on it but i'm not sure how to go about that. the page needs to fully reload, not just refresh i'm looking for some sort of reload self could anyone help with this please?

thank you both i'm not planning on using web design as my main source of income yet i wasn't exactly looking for a price per hour since this is just for some extra cash while i'm learning (all my other websites i've been making are free) and i'm not quite sure how to work out a price per hour when it's basically the same site i am selling to x amount of people just with the option to change the look and layout of the site with the skins do you have an idea of a set price i should sell each copy of this particular website for?

hey i'm trying to work out how to limit the characters that can be accepted in a form but all i can find is how to check if a character exists in a string and i dont really want to make a list of every posible character to check against. is there some way so that if doesn't only contain the acceptable characters it will return false? e.g one of the fields is for color , i want it to check that all the characters are legal hex color code characters (a-f, 0-9) and return false if there is a character not in that range thanks

It's a favour to my freind in a way aswell as he is getting a free site and i'm giving his club a discout , free installation and support also forgot to mention the site/cms uses php, mysql, javascript , xhtml and css. and will be fully validated. dont know if that makes a difference but noticed alot of other posts have it

Hey I'm new to web design so i really dont have any idea here. My friend's photography club are mostly all wanting personal websites. I'm writing a template atm for this but i have no idea what i should be charging for the finished websites. i dont have a close to finished version yet to link but i'll give a description The website will have a gallery split into whatever catagories the user wants with the usual contact me, about me, links type pages it is fully customizable through a very easy to use cms i'm coding and i am going to make loadable skins for the website i was thinking about providing a basic package with the website, cms and a choice of like 5 basic skins then also having some more skins that they could choose from and buy seperatly or pay a little extra and get a custom made skin so if someone could give me a rough idea of what i should be charging for the template/cms and for the skins i would really appreciate it
