A lot of the traits have been covered but a personal one for me is the color mood, the worst mistake you can make is to choose a color for a company that sets a bad mood, there are a lot of mood charts out there that you can look up to see what colors affect people and in what way. Just google it. Hope this helps in some way and good luck.

I love the way the gradients mesh on the arrow with the tail, I definitely see the RBS resemblance but it still looks nice. The font is definitely far from attention grabbing, reading back on some other replies I guess you have already taken that into account, all in all great design and good luck on learning logo design, read you were just getting into it from UI design. -Joel
