Take a 50% deposit before I lift a finger - that way the client is already invested in the project. The remainder of my fee is payable before I release any assets. On top of that, remember the three golden rules:

Don't do anything without a contract
Don't do anything without a contract

It really does depend on the content, if the article can genuinely justify more links then go for it, just make sure the text surrounding the links is of relevance and importance. Also, be creative with your anchor text, don't just use the obvious, mix it up a little.

Anderz got a reaction from phoneshield in do you think this site has potential ?
In my opinion there isn't enough contrast between the background and the main content so it's really bright on my laptop, it's an okay site, but it looks very vacant, like there's hardly any content or anything going on.

    That's my feedback

I often use these two sites:
    http://colorschemedesigner.com/
    http://kuler.adobe.com/

Plug your primary in and see what comes up with the different methods. I tend to use a complimentary (opposite colour) then apply a tertiary, contrasting colour for things I want to highlight or accent (icons etc).

For instance, example project i did ages ago (see attatched).
