Good. I only hope this won't penalize legitimate sites that get ripped off - one of my sites was ripped off with much of the text jumbled up so it was difficult to find at first.

Dark backgrounds for sites that are primarily text look amateurish and difficult to read. I can see using a bold or dark background for a page of images, but otherwise - please, no!

Furthermore, the clip art is confusing - it doesn't seem to be related to the topic, concept, or name at all.

You could get rid of some of those spaces immediately before your Google Ads - it makes the site look a little bit on the sloppy side.

Please use appropriate capitalization. Use a space after a comma - better yet, remove the comma and add the "place for cool webmasters" tag entirely to the next line. There's a lot of empty/unused space. Also, you've mispelled "teaches". Why are there quotation marks? Who are you quoting? Remove those also.

I suppose that is true. However, as a user, for most sites, I typically don't come back unless there's new content regularly - but my experience is ad-revenue sites, rather than vendor-type sites.

I've actually done just written outlines of how I'd like the site to be organized and what articles I want to add to the structure of the site.

I prefer not to use the integrated email in browsers - I use Webmail mostly, but on other occasions I find Outlook is superior.

I disagree, Pamil. Sites that add content each day instead of every two weeks are more likely to get more traffic. The same visitor will come back more often, this means more traffic and more ad clicks.

It sounds like a pretty basic browser. Personally I haven't used it, but skins aren't a big motivation for me. I want my browser to blend in and not call attention away from the sites I'm using.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a beginner based on cost? I would like to have some software available for this purpose.

At least for me, I haven't had any problem with the "Find" function on either browser. I prefer Firefox overall, but it seems to me that this function is practically identical.

PR hasn't gone down for me but then I don't have many backlinks that are prone to disappearing. I don't spam and try to post related comments on blogs / forums - it's rare I lose backlinks so it's rare I lose PR.

Not a bad site. It looks ok (not great) on a widescreen monitor. The color scheme is nice - not too garish.

I'm always very careful to uncheck all boxes regarding marketing, and I have a trash email address I generally use if I'm not 100% sure I'll avoid spam.

I like it. The banner at the top is quite nice and the page is not too "busy". It is easy to read.

Taking my own pics would be difficult; I don't think I have the skill or the camera quality!

It's important to pace content. Don't add a hundred pages of new articles in a day, and then have nothing. By having a few new things per day or per week (depending on the traffic of your site), you can encourage people to check back regularly.

It's okay to bring up related, but not necessarily totally on-topic things, to expand the horizons of what your users expect from the site, but nobody wants to read "generic" information. If I'm looking for an HTML primer, I don't need celebrity news.

Good luck with your class! Dreamweaver is a powerful tool, but quite expensive if you intend to get a copy for your own personal use.

I'm not sure if I agree with this. If I'm looking for information on a particular topic, and there's a lot of "generic stuff" to sift through, I'd be less likely to come back.

Is dropshipping really worth it? Even when I was purchasing items myself from garage sales, and reselling on eBay, between packing/shipping/writing descriptions/taking pictures/paying eBay fees, there wasn't a huge margin left for me that made it worth the time.

I am not a big fan of Yahoo's spam filter. I find Gmail's is much more successful - much of the time, obvious spam (Nigerian scams) makes it to my inbox with Yahoo.
