Hi I have a static site which contains around 250 pages and growing. I feel that this site would now benefit from being more of a dynamic site with the info being served from a database. My concern is that the rankings I already have for the current pages would be affected by the site being dynamic. Is having a dynamic site even a problem nowadays? Most of my competitors sites are dynamic and they rank very well indeed. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I am looking to add a wishlist to my site. Basically I want visitors to be able to select a number of items such as pop bands, etc...and then add them to a wishlist/shortlist. They would then click the submit button which would take them to a form to fill out which features the names of the bands selected...like on this site. Is this only possible with something like php or can it be done with some sort of javascript? Thanks for the help.

Hi I have been given the task of designing a database for an entertainment agency. Their categories include tribute bands, classical musicians, lookalikes etc and each of the categories would feature the same fields such as 'name', 'type', 'members' etc... Would the best practice be to have all the different categories listed under one table, called for example 'Acts' or should each of the categories have it's own table? Thanks for all the help. Hi I have the task of re-designing the basic logo from this site 21 Entertainment. The client wishes it to remain simple, same colours but wants to add the word entertainment in there somewhere. Also the new logo will be started from scratch as the one currently used is quit pixelated. Looking for some inspiration as to what others would do with this. Thanks for all your help.

Hi On this site http://www.scarlettentertainment.com/ when you search, rather than the results appearing in the main body (like most other websites) the results appear sort of within or under the search box itself. Any ideas how this is achieved? Thanks

Thanks for the response. Yes the version you install. Not for the whole site though, just for a blogging section. Just not sure if I can do a blog section myself without even needing to use Wordpress.

Hi Probably a very naive question but if I want to add a blogging section to a site that is already up and running, should I use something like Wordpress or can't I just code the pages myself so they function in the same way as a blog? I've seen many sites where the blogs are just standard pages. What are the benefits or using something like Wordpress? Thanks

It needs to be started again from scratch but on previous attempts, designing the logo in a vector program has been straightforward but when saving it as a png, the logo becomes pixelated. Can anyone shed any light on how to stop vector images becoming pixelated when saving them. Thanks

Hi I have a slider on a site i'm working on. 21 Entertainment I'm happy with most of the function but for one thing. At the moment the text that appears on each slide is part of the image but i'd like to be able to add the text as part of a transparent caption instead like on this site Mckinney.com Can anyone offer any ideas on how to do this. Also it would be great for the 5 lines of text to appear after each other with a very small delay. I know this would be possible and any help would be great. Thanks

Hi I am trying to register a domain name. On every site i check it says available but when i go to order it with my current host it says it is unavailable. Any ideas why only my host would say unavailable? I could register it with someone else but it would be free with my host. Thanks Paul

Hi I have a FAQ page on my site. It uses jquery to show the answer to the questions when clicked. This works fine but in Internet Explorer when you click on a question, any questions already opened all bunch up. I think this is margins or padding collapsing. Can anyone help?
