bedummy reacted to davep in Reviewing my sitego into levels and move the right triangle to the end of the histogram (making the whites whiter)
also it's quite badly framed but not much you can't about that
284 KB seems a little big - you could probably get it lower than that without losing much quality.

bedummy reacted to zed in Reviewing my site1. too many sliders.
2. slider not centred in IE
3. Images are grainy and poor - no need for watermark on them. I've woken up hungry and none of them look appetising.
4. About Us page has 4 large ? on the right hand side
5. What Product page?
6. Testimonials. Slow it down if you must rotate them automatically.
7. Logo needs work. To me it reads Hearting Dessert

bedummy reacted to porkchops in Hi Guys, Do your worst! This is certainly neither clean nor pretty. And advising people to put a logo in flash (and actually be an IMPROVEMENT)? That's just idiotic.
This suffers from WAY too much content. The text is small, leading is too tight.
Everything is cramped. The two columns on each side frame the content and squeeze it together, removing that nice open feeling you could be getting from all that whitespace.
Logo is bad, looks like clipart merged with 90s wordart. Look at sites like http://www.logomoose.com/ for inspiration and an indication of what a modern aesthetic feels like.
The information architecture (IA) is severely lacking. Things look haphazardly placed across the page and don't seem to fall into some kind of order. The three sets of navigation are confusing.
There are a myriad more IA and User Experience (UX) problems.
You really need to brush up on composition basics, take a gander at modern websites and see what works and what doesn't, and start over. Sketch things out, plan out where logical places for all your elements will be, find a way to make the navigation less confusing and then bring it to life.
