Someone once told me that EI sometimes adds 10px to some elements in div tags. Can anyone else tell me what other little quirks there are that I should keep in mind when designing?

I found a site called createblog and it offers div overlays for myspace profiles. Where in the world would I start if I wanted to do the same?
  3. I'm not exactly sure if this fulfills all of your needs because I don't know what half of them mean, but I really like this app. http://stuntsoftware.com/OnTheJob/ and it's not very expensive. Hope it helps.
  4. Whoa! First of all, what's NI? I have no clue! Also, you say calls from a mobile phone can be used as business calls but landline calls can't? What's up with that? And lastly, what's a self employment number? I have an EIN but I'm in the U.S. Might that be where the confusion is coming from?
  5. I know this isn't the appropriate place to ask, but what if I wanted to change the day I updated the website?
  6. Ok, not sure what happened, but I went ahead and started from scratch, since I didn't have that much, and somehow I resolved the problem. I think I just hadn't divided my page right. Thanks so much for your help. BTW, if you visit the link it will still look the same I'm still in the process of updating. But thank you for your help!
  7. That made my image stay within the frame on Opera, but now my links are not where I want them. What now?
  8. Awesome! I'll try that! Thank you.
  9. It's not connected to the index page yet, but the link to the page I've sent is: http://www.adverbdesigns.com/portfolio.html
  10. This is what my website is supposed to look like: but this is what I get with Opera: I'm using CSS for layout. Can anyone help me?
  11. So, my life rocks! I've been married to a wonderful man for almost a year now, and we have 2 wonderful children. Really, they are the best kids ever! (Both of them slept through the night at 3 weeks!!) I've been doing graphic design for about 3 years now, and although I started learning html on my own for about 10 years now, I've just recently started designing web pages. I think I'm semi-proficient in HTML and CSS, but I'm just now learning java and PHP. I hope I can catch on fast because I plan on being a web/graphic designer come January. YAY! I get to be a stay at home working mom. Anyways, I was in a little bit of a rush, so before I introduced myself I posted a topic, and although I've never been a fan of forums... mainly because I can't keep up with them.... I think I'm going to hang out here more. I got all the feed back I needed, and I didn't have to browse through a bunch of books. It was awesome! So, I just want to thank everyone here for being so willing to help. I hope I can help out myself. God bless, Monica

Ok, so I think I figured out part of the problem. I made my frame 800 px and then my 3 div's inside the frame added up to 804 including padding and stuff. So it looks alright in the firefox browser, but in explorer it still shifts everything to the right. Any ideas what's causing that?

Hmm.. I'm not sure how clear will help me. It seems like it voids the float.
