  1. Hi I am looking for a tool that can help me keep track of projects I have searched but not found anything that fits the bill. I would like it to do the following. 1.Allow me to deal with multiple projects. 2.Allow hourly rate input. 3.Allow me to input tasks. 4.Generate report or invoice. 5.Work on windows. 6.Not run in a .net environment as this seems to slow my PC down. 7.Run as a stand alone app not web based. 8. BE VERY CHEAP as I am currently very skint. Any suggestions or opinions would be gratefully received. Thanks
  2. Hi I am still new hear so please be gentle with me on this potentially controversial issue. I use dream weaver and want to learn more about CSS layout, rather than just using it to style text. Can I use DW for all my css layout as I don't really want to hand code everything. If so can you recommend any good books or dvds for stupid people like me. Many thanks A
  3. Hi there I am new here so please forgive my ignorance and any breach of protocol, I am sure I will soon get the hang of things. I am not sure this is in the correct section but here goes, I have been working for an animation studio and my contract has now come to an end I have quite a lot of experience with photoshop and I have built several websites for friends etc. I have decided to set up on my own as there are a lot of small businesses in my area that cold benefit from an online presence and have not yet made the move onto the net. What I end some help with is the precess of meeting with the client. I presume one meets with the client and discusses their needs for a site and what they may need in terms of functionality, hosting look and feel etc, but what next? Do I go away and prepare a schedule of work with costings for the job and then on approval get them to sign a contract? Or do I get a contract signed first then provide details of costings etc. I am concerned that if no contract is signed early on they may take my ideas and get another firm to implement them and I lose out. I really need to get moving on this as I need to generate some income. Any advice would be gratefully received obviuosly the more detailed the better as I am a complete newbie in this area. Many thanks, Alan
