Hi all, I am having trouble with a current project. It seems like everything is in place but a few things decide to move themselves in Inernet Explorer. It works fine on my PC in all browsers (Running windows XP) but a colleague of mine is running Vista with IE and does small things like Cuts the top of the title off of the <h6> tags if they are to close to the top of the page. Another problem i am getting is i have 3 div's combined to create an outline of a box and on the 1st box the top div is shifted slightly to the right. http: // www . efar . co . uk/dev/products/netclean/index . php Remove the spaces from the link above and see if you can see it.. Also on the contact page the boxes are supposed to sit on top of each other where on this other machine IE has moved them because of the spacing somewhere. If anyone could suggest anything, I would be very greatfull! Thanks, Josh
  6. Brilliant, thank you both for your reply. It was actually because the <li> was outside of the a tag like you suggested. Got to love microsoft sometimes.. Thank you again
  7. Hey all, Looking to get some help..I'm currently at (what i thought was the end) of a newsletter i am creating. However it seems to work fine in every browser and mail packages including outlook 2003. The problem i am having is when i view the news letter in Outlook 2010 it adds a load of spacing between each list item. Here is the snippet of code that is playing up: <table style="padding-bottom:0px; padding-top:20px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="left"> <tr> <td width="170" style="padding:5px; padding-top:30px;"><img src="http :// www .efar. co . uk/dev/e_bulletin/image/news. png" alt="news" /></td> <td width="15"></td> <td width="300"><h5 style="font-size:22px; color: #619fd8; margin-bottom:0px; padding-bottom:0px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; list-style-image:url (htt p: // www . efar. co.uk/dev/e_bulletin/image/bulletpoint. png);">Latest Gossip</h5> <ul style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height:23px; padding:0px; margin: 0 0 0 20;"> <a style="color:#000; text-decoration:none;" href=" htt p: // www .efar. co . uk/dev/e_bulletin/story2. php"><li>New Larger Data Centre</li></a> <a style="color:#000; text-decoration:none;" href=" htt p: // www .efar. co . uk/dev/e_bulletin/story4. php"><li>2 New people join</li></a> <a style="color:#000; text-decoration:none;" href=" htt p: // www .efar. co . uk /dev/ e_bulletin/story3. php"><li>£1 Million T/O Success</li></a></td> </tr> </table> I am new to the newsletter side of things and it's fustrating as it is only outlook 2010 that seems to be doing it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Josh
  8. Hey mate, Thanks for that I was unsure on which to learn next (Javascript or PHP) I suppose PHP would be the best? I know it depends on what i'm going to use it for. However i want to be a flexible designer / developer.
  9. Hi all, I have been working on this e.Bulletin for a few days and the idea is that the design is similar to the microsites we have on our site. This is an email version of this page which looks different apart from the content within it. I am really just looking for some opinions on the design and how the content is laid out. Any suggestions would be helpful. Link to the site: www .efar.co.uk /dev/ e_bulletin /e_bulletin. php (without the spaces in) Thanks, Josh
  10. Hi all, Just a quick introduction, my name is Josh and have recently joined the forum. Came across it a few days and go and found some really useful things. I have been doing web design / development for a couple of years now. I currently know HTML & CSS as well as being able to add jquery in when it is needed. I am looking to increase my knowledge. However I'm not sure which direction to go in. Do I start with PHP, Javascript ect ect.. I am 21 and currently working for a company as a junior designer / developer. I am looking to further my career by learning new technologies. I am currently building my online portfolio so I will share that with you as soon as it is ready. But anyway!... I hope to be speaking with you all shortly
