  2. Hoping to get started on coding this soon
  3. Yeah, i dont like the placeholder logo either. I suck at logos, and it would just get replaced anyway. I just wanted something to show where a logo would be. Ill be sure to bring in the right column though thanks EDIT: Fixed the right column
  4. Latest design since i have finished college. Although, something seems to be missing i dont know what. Any one got any ideas? links like 'See More', etc will be the blue when hovered to add some more colour. Oh, and the Blue facebook image is what they will look like hovered.
  5. of course but would that make whatever CSS3 elements you use useless for people who use IE. Im guessing that you would have an alternative for those using IE? ill start learning it right now then
  6. Would you say its best to start learning HTML5 now? and what about CSS3? my mate was researching it and said that only the latest firefox can use it. I find this hard to believe though, so i thought i would ask.
  7. I dont need it made, i was just asking for opinions on it. I was also wondering how do people 'polish' or make your web design look more professional? did i post this in the wrong section?
  8. This is my first time posting work on here. Im just looking for feedback for when i start my next design I was looking for a theme to design a website on and i decided to base it off a friends design projects. This was my first time designing a store of some kind. I didnt spend a lot of time on it and i didn't finish all the pages. But you get the basic idea from these examples. Im pretty stuck at the moment with design ideas also, so in just a general question: How do you 'polish' or make your web design look more professional? Heres a link to it since it is a large image: http://ukdennis.deviantart.com/#/d3hgvaj Thanks

Thanks a lot so i need two stylesheets for this? one for font face and one for my normal style sheet. I would only need Helvetica Neue - Light/Ultra Light but when i go for uplaod it to font squirrel i can only find the regular version. I think i will have to take the google method, since i dont think i cant host the fonts for Tumblr.

Ah, thanks Ill give it a shot. One more thing while i remember. @font-face { font-family: 'HelveticaNeueBold'; src: url('helveticaneue-webfont.eot'); src: url('helveticaneue-webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'), url('helveticaneue-webfont.woff') format('woff'), url('helveticaneue-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'), url('helveticaneue-webfont.svg#HelveticaNeueBold') format('svg'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } It gave me this code for the font, and i see that the sources are local files? is this correct?

Hi guys I am currently working on a Tumblr theme, and i want to use various types of Helvetica Neue. I was wondering if i could do this with FontFace? but ive never used it before so may need some help When i go to Font Squirrel and i upload Helvetica Neue to it, then download a webkit it gives me a stylesheet as well as some other files. From what i can see it only gives me the regular font type. Not Light, Ultra light, etc. Do i need to do something else? or is the other types in the one i downloaded? Thanks for your help
  14. That is awesome, i especially love the navigation
  15. That looks great dude
  16. It doesnt seem memorable to me, and it took me a few minutes to figure out what it was. i like the colours, and are simple. I just think that you should make it simpler for people to associate with what you are selling
  17. Looks great, although wouldn't a red-ish colour be more fitting instead of the green? Since its 'Love Design' I am a beginner at this stuff so dont take my word for it

18 and i started a few months ago, and i plan to fully start learning from now. Since it was just on and off.
  19. its all rumors, and the people publishing all this should be ashamed of them selves. When Jobs took his time off for medical reasons his family asked for their privacy. God forbid people should leave a sick man and his family alone.

  23. Thanks for the replies guys So do i need Linux myself? or is that just what the host uses? Also, i know there are others, but there was a similar thread where a guy was asking about free and good hosting. A few people suggested TSO Hosts, because of them being great hosts and cheap. Well i assume they are cheap
