visitor tracker results accessed from the browser
Thanks M8 INTERNET. I had a quick look at their site. Looks like its quite an all rounder. Is it one that can be accessed via the browser (so I can give someone else the access 'ability' to see the results).? cheers

visitor tracker results accessed from the browser
Hello all, I would like to add an invisible web-tracker/visitor-counter. The results need to be accessible directly from the browser with a login and not through the hosting CP so someone else can access the results. It just needs to be simple results (and free!) Any thoughts please? cheers

shopping cart software recommendations please
Hello everyone, Can you recommend some good shopping cart software thats easy to understand and easy to install and use, please. It needn't be the cheapest, I would rather pay for quality, easy of use, and reliability, than go for low cost if that meant a compromise. The shop will not hold huge numbers of products, and payment options are being looked at separately. Will database software be a separate issue, to hold the product details? and will dynamic code be required or will the shopping cart software take care of all that (I would prefer it if it did). Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Cheers gang

Awkward conversations
This is part of the buzz for me. You have a client who has an idea, or maybe not, you steer them , stir them, inspire them, excite them, get them all fired up about something that they can see would be not only a real benefit to their business, but something that is a pleasure to look at, a breeze to navigate, an investment in marketing, public contact, customer relations or whatever is important to them, and guys, isn't it about making all that real for them? dont you get a kick when it works, dont you get a buzz when you've had a good meeting, and you've left them feeling hey that went great, they know what they're getting, you know where to go with it.... all these things can come out of conversations whether they are at the beginning middle or end.........leave them feeling good........if they add something and it needs a response, give it.............if it doesnt need a response then maybe they would simply like to be the one that closes the conversation (and keep the client upperhand). Treat them fairly, with good manners, and how you would like to be treat in return............you reap what you sow.

Would you ever cut your hourly rate?
only if it will work the other way round too...........in other words if your agreement is such that if you were to take longer you would get paid, then yes, charge less. That is what you are doing if you have agreed a rate. Otherwise you are agreeing a fixed cost. Also, unless you have agreed a rate with a ceiling cost that you would not go over without prior agreement with your client, then the client should accept that you are to be paid what time you put into it. (If what you are saying is that you are working out your costs at an hourly rate, working out how long you think it will take you, and advising clients of a total fixed sum rather than a rate, then no, if it takes you less, you neednt charge less because the agreement is a sum. If you take longer you cant charge more either.) good client relationships are built on trust too, so if you expect to get paid if it takes you longer, then isnt it fair for good working relationships that the client should expect to pay you less if it takes less? hope this helps
