I love it, really stands out and makes you take notice. I am a total layman so feel free to take my view with a pinch of salt, however my gut feeling is that the word cloudz just needs slightly tweaking. I needed to really look at it to make sure I knew what word it was because the letters are connected (I wasn't sure if it was doudz. May be worth just havign a slight gap between each letter. Anyway just my thought

Hi Lev, thanks for the help i have looked at a lot of different sites for inspiration and this came to me from a couple of similar sites that I viewed, but it sure is difficult pulling off something that is good. Hi here is a link Website to the first ever site I have produced, please could I have some pointers as to which bits are really bad and also if you think any of the elements are any good. Just to put it in context I have no previous design or coding knowledge or background, I have tried to teach myself through books and tutorials, I have read as much as I can but to be honest I still feel pretty lost. The site is for my sisters business as a surprise to her but it was also something I could focus on in an attempt to learn. Anyway thanks in advance.

How about contacting small local charities that you have an interest in explaining your level of skill and saying that you would like to do them a site for free if they are interested. They get a new site that they can always change at a later date and you get something to add to your portfolio as well as the opportunity to practice as well as a good dose of karma.

You could try here http://browsershots.org/ to help you check how it looks in other browsers, I was looking how I could do the same today and came across this site. I haven't used it yet so no idea how good it is, someone else will have to provide their thoughts on it. Anyway I hope it is of some use to you.
