Big Changed to website! Will this mess up the Google rankings?
kstanishev replied to CQ Website Design's topic in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) & Search EnginesIf Google PR is just important, update your sitemap, re-upload it and switch to Google Analytics for faster page indexing. Adding some new links to the high PR websites, leading to yours, as well as social media updates should be just enough not to drop dead.

Link architecture question
It's not a big deal where you put these links. Everybody's saying that some sort of link cloud would be inapropriate, but Blogs are still on such system and they appear to be doing pretty fine. My suggestion is to have those links like: "holiday in Zimbabwe" | "accomodation in Zimbabwe" | "book a cheap holiday" leading to the very same page, plus some in-text links as well. Of course, don't just place them there like spam-box. "popular searches" would do just fine

Links Wheels
yep, no problems with that with me either... what's the problem exactly?

Preferable title in metatag
Just a hint - no dates and words like "if", "in", etc. better write Golf Equipment than Equipment for Golf

Tips on good strategies for linkbuilding?
My suggestion is the following: - get Google Analytics (fastest way for your website to become indexed by Google) - make Facebook content on your website (facebook - developers), there are many ways of placing a "like" button, list of supporters, etc. - find websites that are somehow connected to your website, but not directly like it (skateboard repairment, bike resale, etc.) It's true that they won't have nothing specific with your website, but would definitely help getting some more traffic and appreciation from Search Engines. - get into as many blogs for such things as you can. Just start writing some comments, related to your website and add it to your info when posting (careful with spam)

Keywords and domain names
Depending on what kind of uploader are you using? get all your files & folders and download FileZilla or something, just configure with your host and give it a go. I was about to say that sometimes Google differs myfinesite from my-fine-site, but i guess it's too late now Your web hosting has FTP uploader, right?

Preferable domain extensions for seo
Those extentions should be connected to your website content. .org for example is mainly used for non-profit organizations and it's not suitable for businesses. .com is the commercial one .info - information .net - usually common for network (link-exchange, website listing, etc). You should be only carefull with the free domains. I used to have a free domain and it was very hard with optimization. Why? If let's say your domain is website.freesite.com, some search engines won't accept you as separate website, but as part of freesite.com, which would boost their rank. Same with Alexa's ranking. Domain names with countries (.ie; .co.uk; .it) are not very suitable as they state the website is from/for people for the certain country and might not be recognized by other countries (well, that depends on your website content as well)

Help! I need the opposite of SEO!
are there any websites that still have links to yours? If it's the case, probably it'd be better to visit them and report 'broken link', because it'd be confusing if google bots enter your page, check it as non-working and after this come to a link towards your page [just a hint]

2012 is near!
In 2012 the main Google & Facebook servers would go down, which would seize internet search, which would make 318242354 people not knowing what to do with their lifes, so yeah, basically this would be the end.

help needed - free php 4 simple transfer
Hello, I am a newbie 4 this forum and I thought you might be able to help me... I have a website - very simple and plain, but I managed to rise it to Google PR2 and I would like to continue expanding it. Is there any active and reliable free PHP server which I may use to send some data from the website to my e-mail (not POP3 based)... I have looked over through Google and there were few matches for free FTP & PHP server but none seemed to work properly (they went down every week and I could not test anything)... Also how could I do this in an .HTML webpage with simply using JavaScript (my idea is to put all the HTML files on the free server and to contact them through JAVA as this way I would be able to work better as I do HTML only. Can anyone give me an advice? I would be very thankful.
