  1. Thanks for the fast reply. I was expecting the URL to display: www.callaghanplastering.co.uk instead of www.nexgenwebdesign.co.uk/callaghanplastering Is there no way of making that happen?
  2. I recently moved a clients website (callaghan plastering.co.uk) to a directory within my own web hosting account (nexgen web design.co.uk). I transferred their domain name to my webhost account too and pointed it at the directory in which the web files are located. The site works fine. However, Google Search displays my url instead of the clients (have attached pic to clarify). Can anyone advise how to fix this please? Many Thanks, Steve
  3. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.... I've used Plogger on several website I've made and never had a problem. I've installed Plogger (three times) and keep having this problem... Plogger installs fine, I upload some photos (fine), I change some settings (e.g. disable user comments, change gallery URL, change image quality). As soon as I save these changes the Plogger stylesheet stops working (for the admin page) and the images I've loaded don't show up. I've searched the Plogger forum and posted their too but write here to ask if anyone knows of this issue or could offer any advice? Do you think this could be a problem related to my host? (123-reg). Thanks in Advance
  4. Hi Guys, I'm setting up a blog using WordPress and want blogs to automatically update on Twitter and Facebook. Does anyone know of an plugin or plugin(s) that will allow me to do this? Thanks...

  6. After making a website for my dad's business I've ended up making several for his friends businesses and have purchased separate hosting packages for each. I've decided to set up a as a self employed web designer to earn some extra cash. I've done some research and a reseller account seems to be the most cost-effective option to host multiple websites but there are so many packages and fake reviews its difficult to choose one! Can anyone (ideally a fellow developer) advise on a suitable uk reseller hosting package (or something I may not have considered)? Any advice is much appreciated...

  17. Hi, I want to validate a form and then update a mysql table. Specifically, I want to collect customer details, check they've entered a correct telephone number and then update my database. My code checks the validation successfully but doesn't update the table. Help!?... <?php { $server="localhost"; $user="user"; $password="password"; $database="contactinfo"; mysql_connect($server,$user,$password,$database) or die("Cannot connect to mysql."); mysql_select_db($database) or die("Cannot connect to database."); if ($_POST['submit']) if (preg_match('/^[0-9]{11}$/', $_POST['Telnumber'])) { $sql="INSERT INTO customer_details (Name, Address, Postcode, Telnumber) VALUES ('$_POST[Name]','$_POST[Address]','$_POST[Postcode]','$_POST[Telnumber]')"; print "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;URL=thanks.php\">"; } else{ print "<p>Please ensure you have entered the correct Telephone Number.</p>"; } } ?> Form is here but this is working OK...
