  1. I didn't even know there was another page until I saw your post, nice looking site though
  2. Im the same, I just use a blank psd the size of my screen (1920 x 1200) with guides for the width of the site and other resolutions
  3. same as above the text in the footer is hard to read, other that that it looks good
  4. Have to agree mate the design view is never very accurate
  5. Yeh I agree it was a very sweeping statement, it does depend greatly on what type of site and how complex the deign/structure is
  6. I agree that the menu text needs to stand out a little more but other than that it looks good
  7. I use dreamweaver on a daily basis but only as a code editor, I wouldn't like to let it generate the code for me no matter how clever a program it may be, after all its almost always easier to edit code you wrote in the first place. It doesn't usually take long to transfer a PSD design to code any way.
  8. one thing to note is that on some browsers the :hover attribute only works when being used on 'a' tags (links) not on divs etc
  9. some browsers dont accept the :hover class apart from on links, so maybe try styling the links within the list instead of the list items eg: ul#navigation li a:link, ul#navigation li a:visited { display: block; float: left; margin: 2px 2px 0 2px; list-style: none; width: 110.5px; height: 37px; text-align: center; line-height: 40px; /* Center the text horizontally to the height of the ul */ font-family: Calibri; font-size: 18px; color: #ffffff; background: url(images/navigation_button.png) no-repeat; } ul#navigation li a:hover { background: url(images/navigation_highlight.png) no-repeat; width: 110.5px; height: 37px; } hope this helps
  10. Hi Everyone, i've been running a website design company based in yorkshire for a few years now. We thought it was about time to stop hiding away and get to know some people in the website design comunity and hopefully share some of our experience with others and of course learn from other more experienced people.
