  1. Thanks for all your feedback. I know what you mean. Do you think the attached is an improvement?? More prominent title, more sky? CHeers. Matt
  2. Hi, I am designing the following for an online butchers. It is an online store and this is the template. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I have shown it to a couple of people who don't like the red, but red is a classic butchers colour in my opinion. I am not sure about the colours of the Start Shopping, Bestselling lines, Search, etc headings. I tried these in just blue and red (alternating) but I thought they looked worse like that. What you see I think looks better but still not completly happy with it. Something is not quite right.
  3. Hi All, I've come up with the following design for the website... http://79.170.44.142/hampshirehypnotherapist.co.uk/ I would appreciate any thoughts on design, look, feel and navigation of the website. The only thing which is missing is the 'blog comments' section, which I need to discuss with the client. Any thoughts, suggestions or criticisms would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance! Matt
  4. Hi, I am working on a web design project for a client. They already have a logo which they really like the colours and the design of (I am going to improve the quality of the logo and do a slight re-design for the website), but they want to keep the overall design, shape of text and colours on the logo the same. The colours are fairly 'old school' and I am having problems coming up with a design which really works with this logo where it doesn't look out of place. Any ideas? Cheers. Matt
  5. Thanks for your comments. I have made the changes you suggested and put the demo website up on the internet for the customer. Do you think the navigation is big enough now or still too small? http://79.170.44.120/wholelifephotography.co.uk/ Any other thoughts? Many thanks Matt
  6. Hi, I am in the final stages of putting together the following website for a photographer. I have attached a screenshot of the page. I feel that there is something 'missing' from the design and that is is not quite right. I am also not sure if I am happy with the navigation. It is a 'wider' website than I would normally design, being designed for a widescreen PC rather than the old 1024x768 and I wonder whether it is that which is throwing me. I would appreciate some critical feedback and opinions on the design, the navigation and overall layout and structure of the page. All feedback would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi, Thanks notbanksy. Your thoughts are similar to mine, which is good. I was thinking the red was too murkey. I was thinking about trying blue shades rather than red shades, to see if that worked any better. I feel as if the red clashes somewhat with the colours in the photos on the right hand side of the page at the moment and I wonder whether blue may work better in this respect. MrChristoph - the border is a photoshop stroke (centered, 10px, with a blend mode of 'soft light') I saw it somewhere else and think it works really well! Any more suggestions would be greatly welcomed. Matt
  8. Hi, I've just put this website together for a customer, but I personally there is something not quite right with the design. Can you take a look and let me know your honest opinions. www.trueselfcoaching.co.uk Cheers. Matt
