Hey guys, i'm new to seo, my site has recently gone live and although some content still needs to be edited it's working and getting hits, although not very many. I've been going through this part if the forum for days seems like weeks but everything i see seems more advanced or i don't understand it. Basically i have narrowed the keyword down to what people search for my industry and the keyword is canvas, canvas artwork etc which i have put in my site, i've also put in my town name to get me to rank in local places. So first question 1) I am showing on google places but as a dot, you have to zoom in and click on the dot to get my info which no one is ever gonna do, just to let you know, it's no longer in my places list when i log in and have contacted google to delete it from the maps so i can start again, when i try to add it and input the telephone number, it says no company is found matching so i have not added it again until i know the other is deleted, does anyone have any info on what to do or should i just wait for google? 2) I keep seeing sites and people claiming they can get your site ranking in google in a matter of hours or days, surely this is not possible? but it's making me feel that i am doing something wrong, the only way i show up in google is if i type in my company name? I've looked at the guides on here and everywhere else and i think i've followed them correctly so why am i not showing Thanks

Funny that, i look at mine and I see the links go up, then i realise that i have been on it editing ha ha

I've never added an image to the database before, do i use varchar or something else?

i might have to take that on board, the evco-design site which i use for testing is free at the moment but i think that runs out soon.

Your right, but i actually understand it, i'm now trying to see if i can add more pages to see if i can actually do it by myself, i find this is my best way of learning. Let's start on the first selection, I would like an image to show next to the drop down list (I guess i can do this with css, i hope) then once i choose Acrylic, it will replace the standard image with an image of acrylic, then if i select Block Mounted, it will replace the Acrylic image with the Block Mounted one etc etc check out my site to show you what i mean but this is done in html and i need it working the new way to talk to the database etc http://www.evco-design.co.uk/

OK, i have deleted the test table and put this in the database, but i don't get what you mean ? Does it mean that if i select 2 Block Mounted / 4 Clipped or 5 Framed then the field that has 2,4,5 will show?
