  3. Hi, quite new to using DIVs so I need a little help. basically I currently have 2 DIVs side by side on a page. Now I want to place some other DIVS underneath for other content.. EXAMPLE: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
  4. Make a layout, added a video in a DIV, and text in a DIV beside it. Works fine in IE6 (Accessed through Parallels) and FireFox. But not in Safari... I Safari, the DIV that supposed to be on the right, starts on a new line. CSS CODE: #index-video { width:348px; height:225px; float:left; } #welcome { float:right; width:450px; height:225px; } HTML CODE: <div id="index-video"> <embed src="http://blip.tv/play/AfqUPuxt" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="348" height="225" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed> </div> <div id="welcome">ds</div> EDIT:OH! SILLY ME, TURNS OUT SAFARI WANTED A LITTLE MORE ROOM FOR THE DIV!
  5. Cool, yeah I know that, but why, I havnt seen sites saying that I have to reduce the width of the DIVs if I add padding. When I add padding to tables I don't have to do this... Edit: The issue has been resolved.
  6. Yes, so what do I do?
  7. Yes, yes I could do that. But why, I shouldn't have to do that.
  8. I'm creating a website, and a little error has just cropped up. I am making the site with DIVs (I used to use tables, but apparently its baadd) and I want to add padding to the edges of my DIV so the text looks nicer, but when I add padding to my CSS, it goes all funny like this: Heres my CSS code for the DIV: #pg-navbar { width:852px; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; background-color:#000099; height:40px; padding-left:25px; padding-right:25px; }
