  1. As my first post to this forum (excluding the introduction ) I wanted to share a recent development within the UK domain industry. I received notification from my current registrar (Telivo) that it will be merging with its larger sister company LCN this weekend. All-in-all I think this is a good thing. The registration system at Telivo was at sometimes frustrating as it only allowed two year registrations on all tlds. The prices are the same on LCN as Telivo for the two year regs, but now I can actually extend, reg/renew for multiple years and save a few pence by doing so. The main advantage to be honest is that I can actually extend domains for a long period of time and not worry about forgetting to renew (which happened once before and was a pain). Other functionality seems to be the chance to transfer in GTLDs very cheaply with LCN... which I couldn't do with Telivo. I think its going to be a good thing. Anyone else in this forum with LCN who can share their experiences? Or any Telivo customers have strong thoughts on this merger. Oh... by the way... hello
  2. Thanks Ben. Hi all. I've been a regular browser but haven't contributed before. I wouldn't say I'm a very skilled designer, but thanks to Wordpress that hasn't been much of an issue for the last year or so. I have a strong interest in the domain industry and am regularly trying to find ways of using domains which I think are a good idea at a moment of weakness. Anyhow... I look forward to contributing
