Hello! I've been doing websites for about 2-3 months, so I'm quite new into this, but I'm trying to use web-safe colors for main color schemes. Does it make sense nowadays or I should stick to any color palette? I'm asking this because when I use some tools like Color Scheme Designer it gives out not web-safe colors. Is there similar tool with web-safe colors design? Also, should I use web-safe fonts as well (I mean fonts that are most often used in browsers)? Thanks.

Hi, it's more for learning experience. I'm also learning this way - by coding from scratch, that's how I did my website and now I'm trying to make a blog. Main idea that sounds different in my opinion is to develop very easy to use forum, blog and probably CMS software. Let's take for example Vanilla forum which is the best one in terms of size and performance, however I feel confused, when using it. If I'd really do easy to use forum, I would threw half package of this forum. What I mean by easy use is just basic functions of forum. Same with blog software - Textpattern is good, but not light enough and has different functions that I don't need. And I don't want to remake this software, I want to make mine. This way I can learn to make my own stuff and at the same time develop some software. I though about making easy-called software. This is the demo of my first forum, which works and looks bad, but explains main idea: easyBoard Thanks for taking interest.

Absolutely agree. That means I should try to rebuild my website from scratch and then append jQuery, so it works good with both JS enabled and disabled. Thanks for your advices!

Hi! I couldn't find any information about this topic in the internet and I really wonder, how come people do not discuss it anywhere? Okay, jQuery works really great and offers many interesting effects, but what if you have JavaScript disabled? I mean I've browsed through several websites powered by jQuery with JS disabled and they doesn't work or behave weird. I know there aren't much people, who disable JS, but well I do want my page to be seen by all people in the end. I managed to do it with slider on my page (however I want to use other jQuery effects), but, for example, http://www.flowplayer.org/tools/index.html doesn't provide any information about this. Try to disable JS and see that nothing works. I can use <noscript></noscript> tag, but I have to make two main pages. And what if I want to view it on one page? What would you do? Regards, Aleks.

I didn't use any templates - all design was made by me and I was trying to make minimal website. I've only used jQuery for slider effect and Vanilla with Texpattern for forum and blog (that doesn't have to do anything with main website).
