I wondered if you can give me some rewies ...
well its not bad, but the graphics and banners look like old-fashioned 1990's websites, guess you will need to work on it more. what to change in first place: design: -i think the gradient on the left, in sidebar needs to be replaced. white text doesnt compose with it well. -add some buttons to products code: 52 Errors, 1 warning(s) in html in some sub-sites, 1 error on main 10 Errors in css horizontal scrollbar at 1024, 1280, heck even at my 1924 xD hmm, think ill start putting /out of 10 ratings so: design 2/10 code 3/10 user friendliness 8/10 cheers mate, good luck with the page!

amazing website interaction found here!
~nevermind, stay a bit on the site as you probably didnt wait till it fully loads when the human siluette shows try to move over it, grab with mouse and move or use arrows. the code for this site is rly impressive.

Please review my website! :)
mmm about code: 3 simple errors in validator, shouldnt be problem to fix it. looks ok in ff,ie7,chrome validator in form page got little error - when field doesnt validate, the box is extending and text "a something is required" cuts in half. let him have some more space and maybe make absolute. about design: nice and simple, but maybe too simple. i'd add some kind of gradient in the background (but subtle), and more images on the sub-sites overall its quite nice not a killer for sure tho. cheers mate.

Do you need a degree to be a designer?
this topic is quite interesting, I dont want to be necro-poster but just want to add my 2c Degree is not required. What you need is good portfolio, and some balls to deal with clients, as some are just plain stupid, just as human nature is. the longer I study (IT), the more i find it irrevelant to webdesign. I start to think am wasting time there. You cant really learn design at studies. Getting good at designing is a long process of trials and errors. I'd agree that studies would be remotely helpful if only there was such a degree as "webdesigner". But there isnt (well maybe in usa? they got everything). You will end up knowing much more if you focus on working in home and simply designing. IT studies are usually too bloated (is that the word?), you gotta learn so many things at once, that you will have no time for any other work. And in addition big universities dont have time for single student, they just require programming to be done (or anything else),then they check it. And you end up learning all the boring stuff from books/web by yourself anyways. From all the job offers i've seen so far (webdesigner obviously.), none needed degree, well maybe some-but then any kind of degree will do, and its just "optional" bonus. But If you dont have portfolio.. forget even about sending CV. Studies are fun sometimes tho

Please review my new porfolio home page
well not bad mate, it needs a lot of work still tho. especially the text on top "creative addiction" is a subject to change. anyways, i can see the potential in this one.

Would like to hear your opinions on this one.
~styledwebdesign hmm ah well, its true that site is a bit dark and moody, but its allright i think. i got few "happy" and "fresh" website projects ongoing and it will even out in portfolio and ye ill fix it so it wont scroll horizontally. Or do you mean it got too big height? Then i think ill leave it like that. thx for comment ~traxor mmm, what do you mean with the navi? its too simple? or the re-loading between pages is bad?

amazing website interaction found here!
impressive, must say. the problem i got with all those flash sites is that they are totally non-user-friendly, tiny buttons, blotched menus, too much data. this one is different, and quite intuitive.

Slide Away
very nice clean lay. 1.as some already mentioned the hover image is too much. 2.scroll idea is nice and innovative, but going from top page to last one is kinda too slow imo, and i feel a little bit dizzy xD ps. i rly like the form fields and how they compose with the rest

aye thx. 1.know about the scrollbar at 1024, think ill try to fix it. 2. thought it would be cool to make it appear in such manner, i mean ev-d.sign as ev-deee-sign =>evdesign xD but ye, maybe its subject to change 3. will do 4. dunno really, prices vary depending on country, complication etc, i am a "fish" in that manner. thx again, very helpful

Hi guys, i am brand new user, that came out from nowhere . Like.. literally Been looking for forum/community lately, where i can hear positive critique and learn something from much more experienced designers/developers. And so, I am here I am still quite a newbie when it comes to designing websites, but decided that its time to roll out the cannons and see what happens. http://www.evdesign.eu here is the site, it will be my "nest" for a while, currently working on 5 other designs to fill up my portfolio a bit. what matters the most is your opinon guys. site is quite "heavy" about ~300kB and doesnt fit 1024 and lower res (horisontal scrollbar pops), but its just portfolio page so i guess it wont have to bare the heavy load sorry for poor english, i am not a native speaker. cheers.
