  1. --- Thanks to those who offered help, by sheer miracle I actually figured it out and succeeded. Nothing like that feeling of "I DID IT!" when you were so sure you'd fail.
  2. Hey, Not quite sure what you mean about natural traffic? Anyway, people, if anyone is interested in the domain name, send me a PM and make me an offer. You can even rip me off, I don't care. I really don't want it to go to waste. Thank you!
  3. Bookmarked, always looking for sites like this. Great design too, very appropriate!
  4. I use GoDaddy, they have great prices and I've never been disappointed by their customer services.
  5. Hi Reaper, I have no idea what I want, so make an offer. Thank you!
  6. It's about 3 months old I think. I can check with Godaddy. My plan was to make a website where non-profit organizations that needed websites, could submit their project; I would estimate how much their future site is worth, then the project would be added to a directory and visitors could donate to the projects. When enough money has been raised to pay for the website I would design it for the organization. That way, the website would have been payed by donors and the organization would basically get it for free. I really loved the idea, even had a great design but just not enough time
  7. **** UPDATE:**** I really don't want this domain name to go to waste. Send me a PM with your offer if you want it. I'll accept any offer really, as small as it might be. Thanks!!! **** Hey there, A while ago I bought a domain name, www.giveawebsite.com, for a project of mine. Unfortunately I'm just too busy to create the website. Do you think I've wasted my $10 or I could resell it? If so what are some good sites for selling domain names? Also I have no idea how much one should charge for a domain like that. Thank you!
  8. I know, I'm in love with it. Just need to get the cash and I will definitely get it (eventually ).
  9. Spot on. Thanks! Now my question is..... does anybody know where I can find a font that looks a lot like it, yet is free??
  10. Does anyone know the font that is used in the headers of this page? http://www.noded.biz/featured/send-only-what-they-need And whether I can get it for free? Thank you!
  11. It's a good logo & brilliant idea, however I don't think it would fit in the overall style of the page. I'll keep it in mind though. What software did you use to make it?
  12. Very happy to hear that!! I'm never sure whether I should trust my own opinions so it's good to see I wasn't alone to think it.
  13. Thanks for the input!! I'll be following your advice and I'll show you the result soon. @brilliantfreelancer, I've been thinking about the footer and am trying to come up with something that fits the style. Not so easy. If you have some tips, feel free to share.
  14. Hey there, Thanks for the answer Since I posted that message, I did get some inspiration and you saw it in this thread. Could you let me know if you liked the old or new version better? That's what I'm debating right now! By the way I'm glad you're liking the concept! I'll be looking for a few designers to join the team soon since I'm just good with HTML, and some organizations might require more complex websites. So if ever you'd like more information on that, feel free to shoot me a PM. Cheers!
  15. Hey there, I'm teaching myself SEO as I go, so don't laugh if my question is stupid I'm making a page for a greeting card company, there are a bunch of thumbnails & when you place your cursor on the thumbnail a larger image shows. Now my question is: should I put image tips on those thumbnails (and on the larger images)? I don't know the title of every single card, so should I just write for instance, "Greeting card by Little Press" or something? Would that be totally utterly useless, or would it help with the SEO? Are image tips at all useful for SEO? Hoping to learn something here thanks!
  16. Looks really great. However it bugs me that the "H" is stuck to the "I" in the word "HI" could you add a little bit of space between those two? I'd also make the font color darker for "Brown Bunny". And maybe space the lines a little bit more in the "specifications" and "site consists of" things. Apart from that, I'm liking it! [EDIT] just saw something else also, there's a border on the image of the twitter bird, you should really get rid of it since it partly hides the word "Twitter"
  17. Thanks guys for the answers I changed the design a bit, let me know if you think it's improved. I also added some more to the page. @bocaj: I was thinking 3 - 5. Never heard about this theory before but it does make a lot of sense! Very interesting really! Really hating it too, but I got this picture off Stock Xchng and I just really really love the concept. I modified it a bit so let me know if it's better now. Changed the font, I wasn't going to keep it anyway. In fact I'm not even quite sure whether I like the text positioned there. @empek: I believe the font was Black Jack, not 100% sure though. Changed that. I'm not too convinced but let me know if it's better now! Thanks so much!! I always have hard time with logos and it took me a while to come up with this one. So please, just feel free to tell me if it's a bit better now, and how I can improve it!
  18. Hey there, Anyone care to review the following design? It's just a start, but I could definitely use all the comments you've got. Thank you!!
  19. Hey everyone, So, a while ago I finally started to work on a project I've been planning forEVER. (feel the impatience?) My only issue here is that, now that I'm looking at my design, I just have a feeling that it's not *perfect*. I really want to get it perfect (I know, I know - I'll never get it done...) so I've been looking for inspiration but can't find any showcases that actually give examples of larger websites. I also have some issues with the placing of the text & general layout... I would REALLY appreciate if I could get suggestions or examples of AWESOME larger websites. I'm still trying to determine what is the right "feel" and color scheme for this site. You can take a look at the screenshot. I'm also including a bunch of logos I made, none of them appeal to me so much but I'd still like some input. THank you!
  20. It looks quite good so far, however I'm sure you could make the top of the page/banner more interesting. The color scheme is a little boring at the moment.
  21. Just the link. Thanks so much snowywebsolutions!! I'll play around with this, I think it's just what I needed.
  22. Hey there, I'm looking for an easy script that will allow users to e-mail the page they are currently viewing. A perfect example of what I need is what AddThis.com is providing: http://www.addthis.com/help/customize/email-button - something which automatically detects the URL so that I can just use the same code on many pages without having to modify it. However I've tested out the AddThis e-mail button with my own e-mail address and it apparently doesn't work - checked out the forum and I'm not the only one having this problem. So, I'm looking for an alternative. Any suggestions?
  23. Eris - Thanks for letting me know about Dropbox. I'm definitely downloading that.
