shadows in photoshop

Featured Replies

I would like to make a piece of graphic as the .jpg, I have uploaded.

Can any of you tell me, how I make the shadow effect in photoshop?

Thanks in advance.

First make sure your graphic has enough workspace (a little empty space around it), right click layer, blending options, drop shadow DONE.

for advanced look:

select image> ctrl clik on layer

create new layer under image

fill with black color (d>shift+bckspace) or with paint bucket

deselect

filter>blur>gaussian blur (play with size)

opacity

use free transfor tool > skew or distort

voila :)

Layer>Layer Style>Drop Shadow.

Keep playing around with the Size and Distance until you get what you want.

This is how I do it, but I also like to change the blending mode to multiply so it looks more natural if it's on something besides white :) .
