T-shirt --- what program?

Featured Replies

I´d like to create my own t-shirts. Do there exist special programs and could you recommend me one?

well you should use corel draw or adobe illustrator. they are vector based programs. the design u make should be scalable without losing pixel at the edges. you could use photoshop to. but you have to design at a specific dimension. :)

i have been wanting to creat mine too but i don't know the easier method so what should i do?

It all depends upon the style of art you'd be using to illustrate in, and if you're going to be printing these yourself or getting a company to print them for you, they may have specific requirements you have to adhere to.

Personally, i use Photoshop for all my art as i love to digitally paint, it's a raster based program so unless i work at a really high resolution to start out with it's going to have problems scaling the art up, but reducing it will always work fine, others use Illustrator which is also very good, it's a vector based program so art can be shrunk or enlarged as much as you like.

However, if you're looking for a down and dirty low tech approach to doing some t-shirt design, then i highly recommend this tutorial here for "tattooing" onto the t shirt using nothing more than a stencil and bleach!! :D
