July 25, 200818 yr Wordpress is not a website builder, people are website builders Wordpress is a kind of software which runs on the web. It manages your content making it easy for you to publish stuff on the web. It is just the backend that gives you similar to what you have here on this forum, a box to type in what you want to say and options. Otherwise you would have to write the HTML yourself. It has lots of options for kinds of content, starting with blogs and moving to pages, categories, images etc. There are many different themes or skins for it which provide the look and feel or the "design", you can make your own or use a free or pay-for theme. So with a wordpress + a theme + your content you have a website. But you still have to put it all together! Does that answer your question? Btw, folks here are unlikely to tell you to use Google
July 25, 200818 yr It started of as just being intended for blogging software but now its hugely used as a small content management system because its easy to customize and has 100's of plug-ins and add-ons.

Feel free to use the forum as a place to ask tons of questions about Wordpress. Where did you first hear about Wordpress? Are you a designer? Just starting out?
July 26, 200818 yr i love word press. just now getting into fully customising my own templates. I have so many clients that can put its function to full use for much less money than they would have paid years ago.
