Gardeners web page...

Featured Replies

Hi, Im sending here my 2nd work for some feedback. It is a web page for my brother who is a gardener. It's empty yet, just filled with the Lorem Ipsum generator. You may want to refresh website few times, each time there is random main picture at the right-top corner ;-)

It's pretty rad. Nice job. I would just have equal spacing between your three images on the bottom right;) Perhaps 'punching' up the colour to make it feel more fresh would help - people think of garden's as lush and green, just a thought.

Very nice looking site, i would remove the validation link, only because its not relevant.

This is a very nice looking site - the random image is very nicely implemented. I agree about the three images at the bottom, and I also wonder the site may be more user friendly if the navigation links didn't appear below the fold?

Your code is pretty good, but I would recommend using the <p> tag and doing away with the <br>s under your header tags. You can then create the right amount of space under your headers and paragraphs using CSS.

Hi

I think this is a very nice site. I like the shadow-effect around the borders and the round corners. Does any of you know a tutorial etc., where I can learn to make a similar site? Or perhaps you can tell me where I can find a template that uses the same effects, so I can study how this can of site is made?

Is it possible to make a similar site without a fixed width?

Its not also validated. Nice site.

Ah, nice job, I agree with brightening up the green a bit to make the site more vibrant and modern though!

Ah my mistake, I did some modifications and didnt eventually check the validation. Its fixed and valid now ;-)

2others: thanks for feedback, I'll try to do some suggested improvements...

Like the old skool "designed for 1024x768" at the bottom...!

Really nice. Ignore the commentts like "brighten up the green to make it more modern..." - that is nonsense.

You could probably find some better images - as these are a bit rubbish. Moving the nav to the top might be a good idea too.

Otherwise good effort!
