July 15, 200818 yr Is there a simple way of selecting a particular part of a photo - for example on a website for some personal trainers I would like to select a just the part of the photo of the person and ditch the background. I have Paint Shop Pro (as I got this free) and as far as I can see my choices are to use the magic wand tool - which I find doesn't really do what I want or cropping the image freehand which takes ages and is not perfect either!! Am I missing something? OR would it be worth investing in a better software package to use to manipulate images to put on websites that makes the whole process easier? If so which one? Your thoughts please! Thanks Jo
July 15, 200818 yr Don't know about other images packages, but if you really want to get clean cutouts in photoshop, you have to use the pen tool. Because this a vector based tool you wont get any pixelated edges.
