Is it safe to put phone number on website or will it just get lots of junk calls?

Featured Replies

Hello

I was wondering if people put phone numbers on websites and if it generates a lot of spam.

Looking on the internet there seem to be some people saying it creates lots of spam and others saying it doesn't.

Also what is the best way to display it using JavaScript to hide it from bots or using an image?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this

Vicky

I've had my number on my sites for years and never had a problem. A phone number is a good trust mark and gives visitors confidence there is a real person they can talk to to get help, advice or place an order.

Thanks Fisicx - what tools did you use?

I didn't use any tools, I just put my number on my site. That way people using a phone can click and call.
