I am preparing letterheads for use by various people with different software and operating systems. It looks like a MS Word .dot file might be the way ahead. Is this so, the best option? I was thinking of saving in old Word format, .doc not docx , is that wise?

 

I am working on Libre Office, but verifying the display of the files with Word Online via a free Onedrive account. Do I need to edit and resave in Word Online? Does it produce a more reliable file than Libre Office?
