Correct terminology for this tool...

Featured Replies

Hey folks

I'm currently looking at a tool which will be applied to a website build but I'm really struggling to find the correct terminology to find out the best tools/plugins/processes etc to achieve the final outcome.

For example:
http://www.lasertools.co.uk/

This website has a tool called TOOLPOINT, you select a word from each dropdown menu and eventually you will be shown the correct tool to use for your specific criteria.

Basically I want to replicate something very similar and want to know the best practices etc.

I've searched various terminology like 'Database Lookup' but never seem to get anywhere.

Ideally this website is going to be built in WordPress and a spreadsheet will be populated and work in conjunction with WordPress.

If anybody has some correct terminology for the Tool on the link provided it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

If you right-click it in the browser and choose inspect or inspect element, you will see that it says class="form-group".

So, it's something in HTML called a form, or a type of form (like many user-input data thingies in HTML).

If you Google or Bing `form-group' you will find more info about it to help you learn.

For example: http://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_forms.asp

(Then press F3 in the browser on that page, and search for form-group to see the references to form-group.)
