Newbie getting started

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New here. I have dabbled many times with programming over the years but never created anything of real use. I am most knowledgeable with VB but really only at a beginner level.

I have been looking at no code / low code solutions for my company as we want to develop an in house application for project management, resource allocation and tasks, hr needs, etc. Ultimately a crm as well. I found a few solutions I like but they are very expensive 30-50k and we are a small company. The reasonable ones like quickbase look so institutional and fixated on what they can do.

Anyone been down this path before? I am a real good self learner and open to learning and developing on my own. If i was to go that route recommendations on languages and platforms to start with?

At the onset looking for something that can run in a cloud environment to serve as a project management tool for about 10 users.

After that I would want to add CRM

The more visually oriented of a development tool the better.

Looking forward to some feedback.

Hello. I can't offer much technical advice, but I was curious why you hadn't received any replies. Maybe you could change the title of this thread (or try again). People might skip past another newbie getting started thread, but yours has more content for people to get their teeth into.

Just my 2 cents.
