I'm wondering these days which international domain name is the best after .com, because lets face it its pretty hard to find and buy good .com domain that fits to your website.

So please give your opinion.

I think it's .net

uum i dont have one but .eu seams to come up alot more lately

Hmmmm. If you can't get a domain as a dot com then net works but it's really meant for networks but know one watches that. As far as where you are, you can always get your country's com (ie. .co.uk)

 

Just an Idea.

I think a .com comes out tops if you cant get hold of a .com the second best would be your country's .co.countryTLD as Seth has said. Apparently, a .org and .co carry pretty much the same weighting in the search engines @least in Google they do.

Of course it depends on where your clients are! If, in reality, all your business is coming from your own country then that would be the way to go - it's easier to compete in a smaller, localised market that you can optimise for. As much as targeting the world is overwhelmingly tempting - if you're building-up your site then targeting locally first makes it easier later on to compete globally. Well I reckon anyway!

.com domains definitely have higher value. I personally like .net though Still not sure about localised domains like .eu.
