February 20, 201610 yr Hi, I want to add article dates to a few web pages for Google SEO (Structured Data) and also for the viewer to see when an article was first written/posted. If I've thrown away original page/site backups and replaced them with more current backups, other than trying to check the server logs for any visits to a page, is there any way to work out when a new web page was first created, uploaded to the server and/or put online? Cheers.
February 20, 201610 yr You could try searching the Wayback Machine. Does it really matter if the date on past articles is 100% accurate? I would consider getting the time of year roughly right, the order right and then making up a specific date/time for past posts. Edited February 20, 201610 yr by MikeH
February 20, 201610 yr Author That's a great resource MikeH. Thank you! My latest site of 5 months old doesn't show up at all, but my old site does show listings back to 2011, so thanks very much. Edit: Thanks NOCK. I'll try that, too. Much appreciated both of you. Edited February 20, 201610 yr by Grant Barker
