January 4, 201610 yr I just started studying web design and as my very first step I enrolled on codeschool.com. I started on the HTML/CSS path and finished the first course, front end foundations. I found this course very helpful and enjoyable. I have moved on to the second course, front end formations, but it mentions many things I have never heard of before. Have I missed something? I am worried about not getting the most out of learning from code school. Those of you who used code school, did you find yourself feeling a bit lost at the beginning as well? The man keeps saying things like, "you will probably already be familiar with..." - am I supposed to be studying something else as well as this course? Maybe I should get some books? I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance!
January 7, 201610 yr Why so vague? Why not tell us where exactly you're stuck? I used their services and never had a problem.
January 10, 201610 yr It might be worth doing more than one different HTML course - you could try Codecademy or Khan Academy, for example? Each course is different and you will pick up different aspects from each, and should gain a broader picture. Plus I find when two or three different sources have explained something to me, it tends to hammer it in my brain.
