I have been asked by a company to produce them a mail shot but not using mail chimp or anything similar they want me to do the coding, are they an tutorials anyone knows about to do this or can anyone help me where to start?

It is basically a html email they are after, no idea why they don't want to use mail chimp, I also rate it highly

If you need to do this quickly then I would recommend looking at download one of the free email templates that have been created by Campaign Monitor, they are well tested and will give you a great base to work on.
