So, I've already posted a sample of the design but I think I've change a little bit of it while i was writing the html & css.

 

This sample is just going to go to my portfolio as I'm starting to build it.

Edit: I thought of grayscaling the services and recolour it when hover. Also the 4 70x70 images are for the trademarks the client want to put on their website.

consider putting the get a quote buttob at the bottom of the page too mayeb between services and why choose us

 

the services images are stretched/squashed

 

then i obviously realise that some builders are women but if it's a father and son service is it a bit strange to have a woman sawing wood? or is she part if of the firm then? maybe it's a place holder pic? greyscaling might work well but it depends on whether people are going to hover over them oh i see they are links... that's ok then

 

site doesn't seem to be responsive - at least changing my viewport doesn't affect it

 

not sure about using the default serif font - i.e. times new roman, i understand the tradition aspect of it but maybe find a nicer example? it just makes the site look a little dated not sure what others think aobut that

Yeah sorry didn't mention that the images are only placeholders. Oh wasn't sure how not to squash/stretch the images but the width and height are only set to 200px but the original image is probably more than 200px.

 

So the services are okay to be grayscaled as they are links?

 

Yeah the site isn't responsive but yet this is just an example, however I will make the sites responsive but thought I just want to build a foundation for the clients to see.

 

I haven't really set a font-family yet so that's why its currently set to default, wasn't sure which font to use for the whole/body content.
