April 12, 200719 yr hi Everyone, Hope you're all well. I just wanted to let you all know about something that's pretty important to me. A few years ago a friend of my sister and I was send to prison for a murder he did not commit. At the time I did a site for him to support a campaign my sister is running. Tonight, after years of fighting, the BBC is broadcasting a program on Simon and why his conviction looks very suspicious. Now I'm not posting this to get comments about the design or functionality of the website(which was built in 2003) but for you all to(if you can) watch the program, read the website and maybe sign the petition and the guestbook to show your support. All messages are passed on to Simon and believe me, any words go straight to his heart. So please please please, have a read, decide what you think of the case and if you feel like it, show some support! thank you all very much Olivier The program is on tonight at 10.35 on BBC1 Simon sites is here http://www.justice4simon.co.uk Latest BBC article about the case is here
April 12, 200719 yr Good timing - I just got in and about to switch on the TV to see if there is anything good on - will be tuning into BBC1!
April 12, 200719 yr bloomin regional variations - it's not on until 11.05 up here is Scotland...I'll have a look at your site in the meantime...
April 12, 200719 yr Me 2! ooooo look at the time I better go switch it on! He's been talking about it all day, so I hope it's a gooden!
April 12, 200719 yr Well it's a good job I'd put the telly on at 10.30 and left it on as the program started at 10.40...despite the paper saying 11.05! I thought it was a good program, although I thought the young female student lawyers were a little too giggly. I've read through quite a bit of the website and can't believe that a jury convicted the guy! I'm still reading the website now in shock. I did a stint with Police Scenes of Crime department when I was younger, so I've always been interested in forensic science and that kind of thing [always wanted to be in the FBI since the series Twin Peaks was screened on the TV]. I don't think the program went into enough detail of the case, but I guess it was focusing on the Innocents' Brief project...shame as I thought they could've fosused a little more on the actaul case and the trail.
April 13, 200719 yr Damm I missed the program as I was out. But I just read this page http://justice4simon.co.uk/whyIsSimonInnocent.php And I think he is innocent. To me, I see a lot of inconsistancies in the case, which further makes me think that he is innocent. Ive also signed the petition, and I wish Simon all the luck in clearing his name
April 13, 200719 yr Author Thank you all for your support... I'll be putting the video on the site next week so if any of you are interested in watching it, I'll post a link. thanks again Oli E I agree with what you said but as you mentioned, the program was around the innocents' brief... shame. However, it has raised awareness and a lot of people have posted + signed the petition which is a good thing. did you see my sister in it?
April 13, 200719 yr I'll be signing the petition too! After further reading I've come to the conclusion that the guy is totally innocent - such a miscarraige of justice!!! I'll be adding a banner onto my website when I'll be updating it next week.
April 13, 200719 yr Author you're sweet you are. thank you very much. Make you're own banner up tho, the current design is not the nicest... A redesign is planned very very soon Olivier
