July 9, 201412 yr This is my third website, made for some family friends restaurant Al Baraka (temporary URL) The animation doesn't work completely on Safari and the site just breaks down on iPhone (haven't tried other mobile devices). I'm in the process of fixing these. Works as intended on Firefox and Chrome. I'm doing this for free as a favour but out of curiosity, could any professionals give me an estimation of what such a site would be worth on the market? Thanks for your time!
July 10, 201412 yr Author For some very weird reason the page sometimes appears completely blank when I click on the link on this forum! Never happens when I type in the URL directly and apparently hasn't happened to anyone I sent the link to by email! Is anyone else getting this? If you do I can make it work by refreshing or copy-pasting url in new tab. I would really love some comments guys starting to wonder if I don't want to push myself into web design, really enjoying it. Edited July 10, 201412 yr by AlexK
July 11, 201412 yr I'd get rid of the slash screen / animation - its' so 1990's Unfortunately it's really unusable on my phone
July 11, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the suggestion, I think you're right about the splash screen, I'm either going to simplify it and make it much shorter or take it off altogether. As for the phone I know it's terrible on mobile devices, I'm still very new to this and didn't realise things would be so different on them. For this site I'm in the process of making a trim downed mobile version. If you get a change to try it on a PC I would love some feedback
