Form action = mail.php but don't want it to go to separate page

Hello

I've done a contact form which uses the action "mail.php" which submits the data (if passes validation) and is a blank page with a success message (i.e. your form was sent) or an error message and a link back to main website.

Is there anyway of making it all happen without moving away from main website page and having the error / success message appear in a pop up?

If so how do i do that?

many thanks

Vicky

I was going to suggest you could use jQuery validation along with the form before it is posted to the php script. that way most issues should be reduced.

sorry, Nock, could I pick your brain once more....

is it ok to have the email address (that form sends to) within the php code, will spam bots be able to see it?

thanks
