Hi all,

The first design I did for this site got mixed reviews and there were some good ideas, so I have tried to put them together and make a better design.

EDIT: I have just added a style switcher to the site(located in the footer), when activated it goes to a high contrast version with a bigger font size. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on styles switches. Do you think that they are good for accessibility? Or do you think they are just overkill?

If you want it to be in Gill Sans for most people, you need to add Gill Sans MT to the font list as well, because thats the default install name for Windows version of Microsoft Office.

ATM it just comes up in Verdana.

It looks pretty nice! The fonts are displaying as Times for me though so make sure you add the generic 'sans-serif' to the end of your font family (needed for users of Linux and other OS's without the two fonts you have specified. When I initilly loaded the site it loaded with the style sheet off, although I was unable to re-create this problem again, It may just have been my browser (FF2).

And this may not be my place but if you use a piece of JavaScript called GMapEZ you can customize that Google map in the bottom (By Changing the default 'Pin' to the litle guy in your logo) although it looks OK at the moment.

I really like the design. Kinda reminds me of a bloggish style that runs into a static style design. I dunno how to explain it. But I do like the layout!

1christopher: I didn't know that thanks I'll make sure to change that and remember if I use gill sans again.

calumbrodie: Thanks for the tip I wonders how that was done when I've seen it in other sites.
