As I've said about a million times on this forum now, I use the web-browser Flock which has built in social networking/bookmarking and a feed reader.

 

Thing is I am subscribed to a lot of feeds and find it difficult to keep up with them, even though I'm interested in them all. Does anyone use a feed reader that goes above and beyond standard aggregation and actually has options for managing what articles you receive?

 

I have done a quick search but found nothing suitable.

 

If no-one knows of something reasonable, I figure I'll write one myself so if you're interested let me know as well.

I just use Thunderbird's built in Feed reader - saves having yet another application open

Hmm I thought more people out there used feed readers!

 

Is it because they are that unimportant, already good enough, or people just haven't thought about it?

 

I find them SOOO frustrating, I have used several and have never found one that let me do all the things I wanted them to. I want to be able to get news that is of particular interest to me. Use keywords to rate an article... What about text summarisation and other advanced stuffs?

 

If you have a laptop or PDA / internet mobile wouldn't it be useful to have software that picked a few articles downloaded them for you in the morning whilst still within your home WiFi and saved them for the commute (ok maybe not for webdesign freelancers but for other folk). Meh!
