Layout I did a while back

Featured Replies

I'm much more of a developer than designer because I'm not very creative, nor am I any good in Photoshop, but I whacked up a layout a while back that I had designed and coded myself.

Just looking for the input of some professionals ;p

i think it wud look better if u feel the about us page with content ..atleast just to fill the viewable height of any browser that is 768px instead of leaving such gap? this is just a thought though :) apart from the that looks pretty decent

I think you should add graphic and perfect color combination in your about us page. As per my view there are several inspiring themes available on the web which you can consider while designing your website and make more innovation and creative page.

Here's something that I created.

Things that I have fixed...

  • Rule of alignment; aligned everything to it's left. However; you wanted it to feel as if it was centered, so I added a post image to give the illusion of the layout looking as if it is centered.
  • Gave it a proper colour pallet; colourful and yet professional.

I would give more info, but this seems to be kinda dead... :p

Considering you said you'r not a designer thats not bad at all. Needs some more graphic elements and a bit of UX but like I said not bad at all. I do actually really like the colours. :)

It doesn't just need graphic. I see that my reply was totally ignored, but just realize that this layout was considered awesome back in the day. The problem with it is that it's dated. It doesn't suite the modern fashion trend.

I think it's better for you to hire a designer to do that Job for you. However, as you said you are much more of a developer than designer, therefore, what you are doing is not really bad!
