I hope me posting this isn't against any rules, so here it goes. I have decided to make a website based on designs, where people can purchase, or get a free template for free. I started this yesterday, and with only 6 months design experience (I'm 16 years old), this is what I have come up with thus far;

 

The structure (architecture) isn't bad as it is fairly simple site, but the graphics need to be more detail and what's more you need to learn more about typography and maybe you should start with making a logo. When you'll have a logo you can be proud of then you should start thinking about the website. As you are so young and you have so much to learn I recommend the same method I have started to learn - try to recreate something you have seen in the web and when you'll be abe to do it and it will be 100% accurate then you should start trying to do your own stuff Hope'll succeed!

I like your design but try to change your logo design and first try many type of color combination and then choose the best.

First read more about color combination because If you choose right color combination and images then you can attracts more users. You should redesign your logo and layout with attrative images.

I agree with the above comments, it needs alot more details, Have a look at some websites from top design agency to get some inspiration, and then decide what type of company you are going to be?

Are you going to be pitching for education section sector? retail sector? finance sector? etc,. and then design something which will appeal to them, for instance if you are after an education sector then make the site look abit fun and apealing, Finance sector you make the site look more cooporate and clean lots of whites and greys etc...

Go to Kuler and choose a good colour scheme. Just have a play around with colours and there is plenty of good palettes on there.

As my experiences, I would like to tell you that, always be in touch with light colours.. That would be a good looking for your visitors. Next you must be think about the eye catching... Anyway at your start, you have good structure at this time. Hope you will study fast and improve your knowledge day by day. Good luck friend...
