My personal website Mk2 - Work in progress.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've been away learning a bit more about HTML 5 and CSS 3 and have implemented it into a new design. It's still a work in progress and there are a few things that need to be addressed, for example:

  • There are a few rendering problems with Safari (not sure why yet, but looking into it).
  • I haven't included a picture of me yet.
  • The content needs updating.
  • It isn't mobile-friendly yet.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Stephen. :)

I like this version of your site. It's clean and I really like like the orange against the grey background.

What I really really like is your writing style - it's so open and uninhibited, a pleasure to read :)

Thanks teodora! :) I'm a little surprised at your view on my writing style, I thought I was getting that all wrong! :( Yea I really like the colour scheme of the site, I will admit I think there's a lot more work to be done but it's definitely my best design yet! :)

Really nice and clear, good use of colour, good typography. I definately think its your best yet.

I like your writing style as well but I think it could be more concise on the about page. My rule on thumb is to halve the amount of copy and then halve it again (I read that somewhere and it proved valuable advice.) You can always write more in depth on the blog page and link it.

Visually a very nice site the invites me to read the content. I think the writing style works because it's conversational and confident, no trying t be anything you're not.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I went out and made a few drastic changes for this latest draft. Some additional feedback would be nice before I start finalising the looks, ta! :)
