If this is true is seem quite unfair because anyone can post links to your website and then other websites could spider this informations and spam it on there bad quality link directories etc.
May 9, 201313 yr Actually you get backlinks from reputable websites that google is the most popular backlink. First, by google robot regularly visit this website to index the pages. Second, when the website is updated the new articles, so the work index page from google will happen quickly.

It's called negative SEO and it's entirely possible, particularly on weaker domains. Established domains are another story, you won't topple ford.com with a few porn links.

As RD says, disavow if and when you find anything suspect. That said, disavow isn't instant and can take many, many months to 'recover' a domain and that's if it ever does!
