Odd News London

Featured Replies

For those who have had their head down working on the chilly day may not of heard that a helicopter crashed into a tower crane over central London this morning at the St George Wharf Tower. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/21041796 Lots of pictures, live coverage and eye-witness reports but...

For those who do not know London well or not familiar with Google maps..

St George Wharf Tower is just across the road from the MI6 building but so far nobody has mentioned this in reports. Is this merely an irrelevant co-incidence of fate not worthy of reporting or something else?

coincidence. Loads and loads of helicopters fly across London every day, this one just happened to hit the crane in bad weather. It could have crashed out side Scotland yard, the MI5 building, any of the hundreds of safe houses, government buildings, secret government agency buildings etc etc that are dotted around London.

Exactly what he said ^^^

You couldn't crash land any where in London without being right next to something of major importance. Which is why flights over London are heavily controlled.

This was an unfortunate incident where the chopper couldn't see the crane in the bad weather and took itself out.

They are reporting that the 24 hour light that should of been on the crane wasnt turned on.... its a weather light..... The guy didnt really stand a chance, tbh. lucky that only 2 people were killed. central London is mayhem that time of day... or any time of day tbh

Guess this happens when people do not care for the others lol
