hi brother and sisters,

my one of friend sathish (his name ) designed the website vbridge . he asked the looks about that site. i told that not much better looks. you guys tell me what did u feel ..i appreciate both positive and negative ... open ur heart please.

you expect feedback in 15 minutes...give people a chance :p

Its a nice layout, but looks a little too much like a template. Thats not always a bad thing, but it just feels a little cold and needs some personaily injected into it, as you can't really tell on first glance what it is for. So there is nothing wrong with look of the site other than it looks like it was bought from a template site rather than designed especially for the company.

Also as an SEO expert you should have looked at his code, as you will know that clean code = very helpful for seo, tell him he needs to learn how to create css based layouts, not just for seo but because if he wants to be a great web designer he need to know how to create a site that looks good on the inside as well as the outside. If he were here I would point him towards http://htmldog.com/ so maybe you could pass that link onto him as it is very useful for learning how to code correctly.

Also on a coding note it fails validation on some very simple things:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%...ine&group=0

The design is a little sketchy, some of the blocks are a few pixels below or above other blocks, however whether or not this was intentional I don't know as the website is made with a table layout. While we're on the subject of tables the border around the events, clients, services and contact us blocks looks a little odd, perhaps because there is no right padding. Why is the contact us block 5 or so pixels further down than the others and in a grey column? Furthermore why is the footer solid black with white text when the rest of the sites colours are quite light? The background should be a slightly different colour from the content too, it's a bit hard to guess where the site starts and where it ends.

Imagery on the website has a few problems too. The computer monitor in the flash animation should have an image on it in my opinion, otherwise it just looks like two people are really enthralled by nothing at all. The V-Bridge logo at the top has a slightly different gradient than the rest of the top banner. Your friend has a slight halo around the silhouettes in the flash animation and some somewhat ugly aliasing around the other graphics contained within the animation. I also feel there are too many graphical styles happeneing at once within the animation. The animation effect on the Flash looks suspiciously like it was created in SWiSH also, not that this is a bad thing but it sticks out like a sore thumb to anybody who knows their way around Flash.

The navigation on the site raises a few questions also, why is the text in the links at the top left sat right at the bottom of the block as oposed to the centre, this would probably look a little better if your friend used the same effect in other areas of the website (Ie the titling on Events, Clients, Services and Contact Us) but as it is seems a little odd. The link for Sitemap doesn't work and to me it seems like the lists under the 4 blocks at the bottom should be clickable. It's good practice to make the top left logo link back to the home page also.

A possible problem for your friend is the link to the webmail website when you click login. A page explaining that this loads a third party website would be useful as it would put users at ease a little, could your friend maybe implement this log-in script into the website itself?

The copy on the website leaves a little to be desired but I won't comment on that as I would guess that English isn't your first language, however I'm certain that your English is a lot better than my Indian :).

Finaly I'd like to add to what Dizi said, as a SEO expert you should know a little about meta tags. I won't explain it as I'm sure you already know about them but inform your friend so that he knows too.
